Just outside the Basilica we saw the Swiss guards. Something about those "uniforms" reminds me of clowns. Somebody said- "never laugh at a clown with a gun- shouldn't that be- always laugh at a clown with a gun" Actually, I understand it is a really cool and prestigious thing to be a Swiss Guard. I do wonder if one of the street performers would get in trouble for impersonating an officer if they were dressed up like this though.
